Bacary Sagna’s move to Man City hasn’t exactly gone according to plan yet, but the French full-back was given a surprise start tonight, and played 68 minutes before being subbed off for Zabaleta.
With just 3 Premier League appearances to his name since his tumultuous move from Arsenal, this was his first Champions League start, and even if they were losing when he left the pitch, they won in the end.
Sagna hailed the fans in his post-match interview, describing them as ‘magic’, and adding that he can’t wait to play in front of them again.
Maybe he confused the Bayern fans for the City ones – he is new in town after all.
